The Tau Chapter CSI at Lehman College was proud to host its Spring Induction Ceremony on May 10th, 2025, welcoming a new group of dedicated counseling students and professionals into our growing community of scholars, leaders, and advocates.
The ceremony celebrated the accomplishments of our newest members who have demonstrated academic excellence, leadership, and a strong commitment to the counseling profession. Family, friends, faculty, and current members joined together to honor this important milestone in a warm and inspiring event.
We were especially honored to welcome Dr. Monica Band, who delivered a powerful and uplifting address. She spoke about the importance of compassion, ethical leadership, advocacy in the counseling field, and truths about life after graduation, reminding us that our work has the power to create lasting change in the lives of others.
Following the induction and keynote, attendees enjoyed a reception where members connected, shared reflections, and celebrated the collective achievements of the chapter.
Events like this embody the mission of Chi Sigma Iota—to promote academic and professional excellence in counseling while fostering a sense of community among members. We are incredibly proud of our new initiates and grateful to everyone who contributed to making the day so meaningful.
