CSI Hosts Professional Development Webinar on Play Therapy

The CSI–Tau Chapter recently hosted an engaging professional development webinar focused on play therapy, bringing together counselors and mental health professionals committed to strengthening their clinical practice with children.

Play therapy is a powerful, developmentally responsive approach that supports children’s emotional expression, healing, and growth. During this webinar, participants explored foundational play therapy concepts and practical, hands-on strategies, with a strong emphasis on culturally responsive and trauma-informed care across school and clinical settings.

Participants in the webinar:

  • Gained an overview of core play therapy principles and therapeutic modalities
  • Learned practical techniques applicable to both school-based and clinical practice
  • Explored ethical and developmental considerations when working with children
  • Engaged in meaningful professional reflection and dialogue with colleagues

The CSI leadership and counselor education faculty would like to thank Dr. Brammer for sharing her expertise with us. This professional development opportunity reflects CSI’s mission to support counselor growth through accessible, high-quality training that responds to the evolving needs of the counseling profession. The CSI–Tau Chapter remains committed to offering learning experiences that foster ethical practice, professional connections, and continued skill development.
